There are many ways to improve your golf game, and it can be difficult to know where to start. Fortunately, there are several basic tips that you can apply to your game today, whether you’re looking to get more out of your next round or trying to lower your handicap by the end of the year.

1) Grip
A firm grip will help prevent an errant shot and allow you to hit harder. If your hands start sweating during a round, apply a water-resistant golf glove or hand towel. Let it soak up any moisture, and then apply it to your palm and fingers. Staying hydrated is important, so make sure you bring plenty of water with you to each hole. Be careful not to over hydrate, however, as that could lead to dehydration (you want to be well hydrated, but not overly so). Remember: Drink before you’re thirsty!
2) Stance
